Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 15, 2026
Summary: Clean App respects your privacy. All photo, contact, and calendar processing happens locally on your device. We use third-party advertising and analytics services, which may collect limited data as described below.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Clean App ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our App.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Clean App is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Photos, videos, or media files from your device
- Contact information or address book data
- Calendar events or scheduling information
- Location data or GPS information
3. Information Collected by Third-Party Services
To support the free version of our App, we use advertising and analytics services that may collect limited information:
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA): With your explicit consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, our advertising partner may access your device's advertising identifier to deliver personalized ads. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time.
- Anonymous Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., which features are most popular). This data is aggregated and anonymous — it cannot identify you personally.
- Ad Interaction Data: Our advertising partner may collect information about ad impressions and interactions to serve relevant ads and prevent fraud.
4. How the App Works
Clean App helps you organize and clean up your device by:
- Similar Photos: Analyzing photos locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework to find similar images. No photos are uploaded to any server.
- Duplicate Contacts: Scanning your contacts locally to identify duplicates. Contact data never leaves your device.
- Calendar Cleanup: Identifying spam or subscription calendar events locally. Calendar data is processed entirely on your device.
All analysis and processing of your personal content happens entirely on your device. No personal content data is transmitted to external servers.
5. Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Photo Library Access: To scan for similar photos. We only read photo metadata and visual features; we do not upload or share your photos.
- Contacts Access: To identify duplicate contacts. Contact data is processed locally and never transmitted.
- Calendar Access: To find spam calendar events. Calendar data remains on your device.
- App Tracking Transparency: To allow personalized advertising. This is entirely optional — the App works fully without it, and you may see non-personalized ads instead.
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.
6. Advertising
The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Premium (VIP) subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.
- If you grant tracking permission, ads may be personalized based on your interests.
- If you deny tracking permission, you will see non-personalized ads.
- Google AdMob may collect device information for ad delivery and fraud prevention as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
If you purchase a subscription through the App:
- All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store.
- We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.).
- Apple may collect information as described in their Privacy Policy.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
9. Data Security
Your personal content (photos, contacts, calendars) is processed locally on your device:
- Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode).
- We cannot access your personal content because it never leaves your device.
- Third-party advertising and analytics data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption.
10. Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App is designed for general audiences and does not target children.
11. Your Choices
- Opt out of personalized ads: Deny the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to disable tracking.
